Earnings Rightfully Recovered for Tipped Workers
Since 2020, we have recovered nearly $10,000,000 in over two dozen cases for servers, bartenders, and other tipped employees across the country for claims that their employers did not meet the requirements to pay them less than minimum wage plus tips for a variety of reasons. For example, requiring tips to be shared with employees who do not interact with customers, using tips to pay for business expenses, making tipped employees spend large amounts of time on sidework and other non-tip-producing work activities, failing to provide proper notice of the tip credit to employees, requiring menu study and other activities “off the clock” (without pay), and failing to pay the proper overtime rate.
