Off-the-Clock Wage Violations
Sometimes workers are not paid for all of the time they spend working. For example, a worker required to arrive to work early, before their scheduled shift, to properly prepare for their shift, attend meetings, or stay late past the end of their scheduled shift to finish work. In some instances, managers or supervisors subtract or “shave” time from a worker’s time records or refuse to pay for “unauthorized” overtime. These practices are illegal.
Our firm has handled many cases where workers alleged that they had to work “off-the-clock” without pay. We are happy to speak with you to learn more about your employment and to answer any questions you may have about work you do that you feel you are not paid for. All consultations are free and confidential. You may reach us at (615) 244-2202.
